Legalization

On 13-07-2012 a new law on the treatment of illegally constructed buildings came into effect (commonly known as the Law on Legalization of facilities). This Act provides for simpler and faster legalization of illegally constructed or upgraded facilities.

Work done without permit will need to comply with the zoning, building, and energy codes currently in place. Construction must be brought up to code and we are here to help guide you through the legalization of construction work.

Energy certification

Did you know that from 1 July 2013, all apartments and buildings that are going on a market to be sold must have an energy certificate? The seller is obliged to have it and give to the buyer for a review before the sale is made.

From 1 January 2016 all rental units will also have to have an energy certificate. Energy certificates are issued after making an energy audit of the property. The procedure takes about 7 days.
